The ICS PTA recognizes that the Philadelphia School District is already facing a projected deficit of $61 million, and we maintain that we cannot possibly afford further cuts.
If Philadelphia is to compete academically and economically, we cannot abandon our schools and our students.
If you agree, please take some time before the governor presents his budget on Feb. 7. Tell him to restore the $1 billion in funding the Corbett-Republican budget cut from public education in 2011-12.
